•This is another recipe from Mom. She has made this for as long as I can remember for family parties and holidays…..and it’s awesome! I switched things up just a bit adding more spice with jalapeños and made my own pizza sauce, but stuck to the basics. 1 8oz brick of cream cheese- softened to room temp 1/2 cup sour cream 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes 1 tbls minced jalapeño- adjust to your liking 1 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatoes-drained 1 8 ounce can of of tomato sauce 1 1/2 tsp italian seasoning 1 large clove garlic-minced 4 ounces pepperoni – stack and roughly chop 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/3 cup diced green pepper 1/3 cup sliced black olives 3 scallions- sliced prep and cooking time 1 hour 350°
With a hand mixer, blend the sour cream, cream cheese, red pepper flakes and jalapeño.
Lightly spray. 8×8 baking dish and spread the cream cheese mixture to cover the bottom of the pan.
Preheat oven to 350°
In a bowl combind the drained diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, italian seasoning and garlic.
Stir in the chopped pepperoni.
Pour over the cream cheese layer. Pop into the oven for 20 min.
Sprinkle with the shredded cheese and green peppers. Pop back into the oven for 7 min until cheese is melted.
Add the sliced olives and scallions.
Let cool for 10 min and serve with tortilla chips or crackers♥Enjoy
